At Magiroo, we create personalized birthday video invitations. To do that, we need to collect some information about the party and the child being celebrated. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can reach us.
1. What we collect
When you place an order on Magiroo, we collect:
- The name and age of the child being celebrated
- The date, time, and location of the party
- Any additional party details you choose to include
- The buyer's email (to deliver the video and order-related messages)
- A photo of the child, optional, only if you choose to upload one to personalize the video
- Payment details handled directly by our providers (Stripe and AppMax) — we do not store card numbers
2. Why we use this data
- To generate the personalized invitation video
- To deliver the video and invitation link by email
- To provide support for your order
- To comply with applicable legal and tax obligations
3. Video and invitation link availability
The generated video and access links (/invite/... for guests and /my/... for the buyer) remain available for up to 2 days after the party date entered in the order. After that period, these links stop showing the video. We recommend that you download the video before the deadline if you want to keep it as a memento. We will send a reminder email 1 day after the party warning you that the deadline is approaching.
4. Data retention
We retain order data for as long as necessary to deliver the service and to comply with applicable legal and tax obligations (for example, retention of sales records for the periods required by law). After that period, data may be deleted or anonymized.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share information only with providers strictly necessary to operate the service: payment processing (Stripe, AppMax), email delivery (Resend), and storage and video-generation infrastructure. All of them operate under contractual confidentiality obligations.
6. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Request access to the data we hold about your order
- Request correction of incorrect data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention periods for tax purposes)
- Ask questions about this policy
